    Service Opportunities for this Committee

    Conference Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee

The S.L.A.A. Hospitals and Institutions Committee (CHIC) is dedicated to carrying the message of recovery to sex and love addicts who are unable to attend regular meetings due to circumstances such as incarceration, ongoing treatment, or confinement in institutions like treatment centers and half-way houses. The committee is responsible for organizing outreach programs and maintaining open communication between the various Intergroups of S.L.A.A., ensuring that support and information reach those in restricted environments. Their efforts include holding meetings, developing new ways of reaching members in such facilities, and providing literature to aid in recovery.

This committee operates under the S.L.A.A. Conference structure as a subcommittee of the Conference Public Information Committee. It actively seeks members for its ongoing mission to extend the support and message of S.L.A.A. to those who are unable to access meetings in the general community. Meetings are typically held monthly, and committee members work collaboratively to develop strategies and resources for outreach within hospitals and other institutions.
