Policies and Guidelines
S.L.A.A. and Social Media
Since the emergence of social media as a powerful communication tool, many S.L.A.A. Groups and Intergroups are considering creating a presence using these platforms. F.W.S. has chosen not to have an official presence on any form of Social Media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MySpace, Linkedin, and Google+ at this time.
Anonymity, the Law, and S.L.A.A.
Anonymity is the foundation of our program... However even this basic principle may give way to the pressure of individual consciences or legal requirements... Speaking of any potentially illegal activity, especially relating to minors, endangers the speaker and lays a burden of knowledge on others that they may not be willing to assume.
