The CSC meets on the second Sunday of each month at 1:00PM Eastern. Send us a message using the form on this page to request the Zoom login.

    Current projects include:

    • Administering and growing the Meeting Speaker Finder, a WhatsApp group of SLAA members who can speak at online and in-person meetings
    • Maintaining and growing an inventory of global resources related to service
    • Publishing a Ladder of Service–A resource for understanding levels of service and opportunities at each of those levels

    Service Related Resources

It is often said that service keeps us sober, but why does that happen? Giving back through service requires accountability, and that accountability keeps us focused on sober-related activities instead of our old acting out behaviors. Here are some resources that can help you discover different ways you can be of service.

    What is Service?
Service in the Fellowship of S.L.A.A. means giving of your time and talents to help with projects in your areas of interest. Read more about this critical aspect of recovery on this page.

What Types of Service Are There?

“No experience in living was more meaningful for us than letting ourselves become channels through which healing and redeeming grace could flow. The paradox was that our usefulness as channels for healing was a direct result of our experiences in sickness, as well as in recovery.”
