S.L.A.A. HOW 20-Week Workshop

This is a 20-part weekly workshop series for those committed to beginning a journey through all 12 steps the S.L.A.A. HOW way. Both sponsors and sponsees are welcome! If sponsees aren’t bringing a HOW sponsor with them, the workshop organizers will help them match up with a sponsor. The workshop’s format varies, some weeks having presentations and other weeks having guest speakers. Content is intended to be instructive, inspiring, and relevant to the step currently being worked by the group.

Enrolment activities include an induction meeting on Saturday 28th of December, 2024 at 6pm-7:30pm New York Time. At the induction meeting, there will be an introductory talk about the HOW concept as well as an idea of what to expect from the 20-week course that follows. Normal workshop meetings will commence on a weekly basis as of the following Saturday, also taking place at 6pm-7:30pm New York Time. Workshops are 90 minutes with an opportunity for fellowship afterwards.

The workshop is a fundraiser for the S.L.A.A. fellowship and asks for a $60 contribution. Contributions are used for meeting expenses with the surplus distributed to participants’ intergroups and Fellowship-Wide Services. Please note that no one is turned away due to lack of funds. There will be an opportunity to apply for a scholarship during the application process.

Please note there is also an orientation meeting for sponsors and service team *only* the week before the sponsees begin. This will take place on 21st of December, 2024, also at 6pm-7:30pm New York Time.
